Vintage English Art Deco Green SALTER Household Scale Model 33, Round Metal Pan

Wonderful vintage Art Deco design in a British racing green SALTER Household Scale, Model #33 with round metal pan dates to the 1930s, from England.
This scale would have been used in a household kitchen for weighing out produce and for baking. Weighs up to 7 lbs.
The heavy cast iron scale base is a British racing green. It has a few marks on the original paint due to age and use.  The round face of the scale has a wonderful patina; the metal scale face is easy to read even though worn from age. Original black metal dial. MADE IN ENGLAND is visible under the famous SALTER logo of a tied rope and arrow. Considered by collectors to be in very good
vintage condition. The metal backplate covers the internal spring mechanism which is still functional and can be adjusted with the screw on the one side. The round weighing pan has tarnished over the ages and the edges are a bit dented from use; we have left as found. Scale with pan are a lovely addition to a collection; we love these old English scales displayed on a kitchen counter or table with pan for fresh fruits like apples, oranges, lemons.
Scale measures 10 inches tall overall; the face measures 5 inches in diameter. The base of the scale measures 6.5 inches across.
The metal pan measures 8.25 inches in diameter.
